About NewBizOnline

NewBizOnline is a practical software directory for people building an online business, digital venture or income stream independently. That includes people starting with an idea, creators and specialists turning their skills into a business, and experienced builders working out what to add or improve in their online setup.

The idea grew from my own experience. For years, I spent time in traffic exchanges, closed-loop affiliate programmes, and “make money online” and MLM communities. I saw how easily people with little experience could be drawn into buying the next programme, opportunity or tool, often without getting meaningful results. I know what it’s like to keep searching for the thing that might finally make an online business work.

That experience left me disheartened, but it also gave me a reason to build something different. I wanted to help people I’d met in those communities find a more grounded way forward: practical tools, honest information and a clearer view of what it takes to build a genuine online business.

I’m not approaching this as someone who has mastered every part of online business. I have experience building websites and understand the basics of marketing, but I’m still learning about many of the tools and services people use today. In that sense, I’m part of the audience NewBizOnline is here to serve: curious and willing to learn, but wanting to make sensible choices without being pushed by hype.

The directory is being built in stages. Version 1 maps useful tools across the business lifecycle, from creating content and building a web presence to marketing, growing and managing a business. Listings are labelled to show whether they are personally tested, research reviewed or directory listings. As the project develops, I plan to add deeper research, hands-on reviews and practical guides that explain how tools work and how they fit together.

Usefulness and quality come before commercial benefit. Some links are affiliate links, which may earn NewBizOnline a commission at no extra cost to you. A commercial relationship does not, by itself, determine whether a tool belongs in the directory.

A question I want to keep asking is: Would I recommend this to the person I was when I was starting out? It’s a reminder to consider what people need, what a tool offers and whether it’s worth their time and money—not simply whether it can be promoted.

NewBizOnline is a work in progress. I’ll update this page as the directory grows and the project develops.
